Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley audition for ‘True Detective’
It might be a little late for casting of the second season, but NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley made an audition tape for the HBO show “True Detective” because, well, why not?
For some laughs -- which this audition tape will create -- the former players, who are now TV analysts, read some of their favorite lines from the first season of “True Detective,” which starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson.
The first season was a dark tale of two police officers tracking a serial killer in Louisiana.
Even for those who have not seen “True Detective,” O’Neal and Barkley reciting the dark, cryptic dialogue is nothing short of fantastic, and hilarious.
In reality, the second season of “True Detective” will star Colin Farrell and Vince Vaughn, HBO announced this summer.
