UCLA today

AT MISSOURI

When: 9:30 a.m. PST.

Where: Mizzou Arena, Columbia, Mo.

On the air: TV: Channel 2; Radio: 570.

Records: Bruins 8-0; Tigers 8-0.

Update: This is UCLA’s first true road game, and the 18th-ranked Bruins step up in class by facing a quality opponent from a power conference for the first time. UCLA’s first eight opponents have a combined record of 28-35. Missouri’s season was equally hard to read until a victory over West Virginia on Thursday. It was the Tigers’ 77th consecutive home victory against a nonconference opponent. Missouri’s 23-game home winning streak is the longest in the nation. The Tigers lost point guard Phil Pressey to the NBA. Jordan Clarkson, his replacement, has lessened that blow. The transfer from Tulsa is averaging 20.1 points per game. UCLA will increase forward Wanaah Bail’s playing time over the next month to try to get him ready for Pac-12 play. The 6-foot-9 forward has seen limited action in three games since returning from knee surgery. UCLA freshman Zach LaVine is averaging 14.4 points per game.
