UCLA had a rough summer of recruiting.

But the Bruins now will go into the fall with one of the biggest names in the 2016 class committed.

“I have decided to continue my education and play football for the next 4 years at #UCLA #4sUp #BruinRevolution,” Oluwole Betiku, a defensive lineman at Gardena Serra, wrote on Twitter.

Betiku, 6 feet 4 and 240 pounds, is considered one of the best linemen in the country.

A native of Nigeria, Betiku said last month at the Opening, an elite high school showcase, that he had built a strong relationship with UCLA offensive lineman Caleb Benenoch, who is the son of Nigerian immigrants. Benenoch made UCLA feel like home, Betiku said.

Betiku considered Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, Penn State and Notre Dame. USC also recruited him.

Betiku is the fourth lineman to commit to UCLA. Marcus Moore from Crespi Carmelite, Osa Odighizuwa from Douglas High in Portland and Breland Brandt from Los Angeles Windward also are committed.

Defensive back Jordan Parker from Pittsburg High in Northern California and receiver Michael Pittman from Westlake Village Oaks Christian announced their decommitments from UCLA this summer.

Parker remains uncommitted. Pittman announced for USC.
