Monte Vista tight end Erik Krommenhoek commits to USC’s 2017 recruiting class

Both of his parents attended UCLA, but Erik Krommenhoek, a tight end from Monte Vista High in Danville, Calif., committed to USC on Monday.

Krommenhoek recently participated in camps at both schools.

“After talking it over with my family I’ve decided to commit to the University of Southern California… I’m super excited to have this opportunity,” Krommenhoek wrote on Twitter.

The 6-foot-5, 235-pound Krommenhoek was also offered scholarships by Arkansas, Colorado, Oregon State and Pittsburgh, among others.

Ten players have committed to USC’s 2017 recruiting class: Krommenhoek, running back Stephen Carr from Fontana Summit; receivers Randal Grimes from Desert Pines in Las Vegas and Marlon Williams from McGill-Toolen in Mobile, Ala,; offensive linemen Andrew Vorhees from Kingsburg and Brett Neilon from Santa Margarita; linebackers Daniel Green from Madison in Portland, Ore., and Juliano Falaniko from Leone in Pago Pago, American Samoa; defensive back Bubba Bolden from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas; and C.J. Miller from McEachern in Powder Springs, Ga. 

Recruits can sign a letter of intent on Feb. 1.
