USC VS. WICHITA STATE

When: Thursday, 11 a.m. PST.

Where: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Orlando, Fla.

On the air: TV: ESPN2; Radio: 710.

Update: The Trojans are off to their best start since 2000 and are averaging 92.5 points per game. Now they get their toughest challenge of the young season, facing off against Wichita State in the opening round of the AdvoCare Invitational tournament. The Shockers (2-1) entered the season as a national championship contender after a Sweet 16 run last year following their 35-1 season in 2013 that ended in the Final Four. But Wichita State was upset by Tulsa last week and is likely to be without a pair of point guards — All-American candidate Fred VanVleet (hamstring) and freshman Landry Shamet (foot).
