UCLA recruiting: Demetric Felton commits to the Bruins
Great Oaks' Demetric Felton makes a one-handed interception.

UCLA's 2016 recruiting class grew on Monday when Demetric Felton verbally committed in a ceremony at his summer league training facility in Rancho Cucamonga.

Felton's announcement was followed by Rialto Carter High linebacker Lokeni Toailoa, who also committed to the Bruins.

"It was a perfect fit," said Felton, a running back and receiver at Temecula Great Oaks High.

Felton -- 5-foot-10, 190 pounds -- rushed for 1,277 yards and 15 touchdowns in 161 carries last season. He caught 26 passes for 560 yards and seven touchdowns.

Felton said it was a priority to stay close to home.

"My family can come visit," he said.

Felton has seven scholarship offers. He said he did not plan to continue with the recruiting process with other schools.

Felton can sign a letter of intent on Feb. 3, 2016.
