USC coaches and players bond at the beach

USC coaches and players traded jerseys for shorts to bond at Hermosa Beach on Saturday

The USC football team traded the turf for a sandy beach a week after spring practice concluded.

Coach Steve Sarkisian, several assistants and about 30 players bonded Saturday in Hermosa Beach.

"Great day at the beach with teammates and coaches! Man I love this TROJAN family," defensive lineman Antwaun Woods wrote on Instagram.

Sarkisian and several players waded into the ocean, including receiver JuJu Smith, who toted a surfboard.

Others stayed on the sand to play cards and volleyball.

After several hours of surf and sand, players boarded a charter bus back to campus.
