As it resumes practice Friday for the Holiday Bowl, USC also will host several recruits on official visits this weekend.

Los Angeles Windward School offensive lineman Roy Hemsley, Riverside Poly defensive back Ykili Ross and Buffalo (N.Y.) Canisius tight end Tyrone Wheatley, Jr., are scheduled to be on campus.

Hemsley signed a financial-aid agreement with USC in November and is on track to enroll next month.

Ross attended USC’s Nov. 29 victory over Notre Dame and hosted Trojans coaches for an in-home visit during the contact period.

On Thursday, via Twitter, Ross announced he was considering Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Oklahoma and Arizona State.

Wheatley, the son of former Michigan and Oakland Raiders running back Tyrone Wheatley, made an unofficial visit to USC last spring. He has listed Alabama, USC, UCLA, Michigan and Miami as his favorite schools.

USC tight ends coach Marques Tuiasosopo is recruiting Wheatley. Tuiasosopo played for the Raiders with Wheatley’s father from 2001 to 2004.

USC Coach Steve Sarkisian was the Raiders’ quarterbacks coach in 2004.
