USC this weekend is to host out-of-state recruits on official visits for the regular-season finale against rival Notre Dame.

Tim Settle, a 6-foot-2, 339-pound defensive lineman from Manassas (Va.) Stonewall Jackson High, tweeted about his trip. “USC official this weekend #USC #Trojans #FightOn,” he wrote.

Settle has visited Penn State, Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State and also has a visit scheduled to Washington State.

USC is the first official visit for linebacker Roquan Smith of Macon County (Ga.) High.

Smith, 6-1 and 210 pounds, told The Times he would also take official visits to Georgia, Louisiana State, Ole Miss and UCLA.

Settle and Smith will play in the Under Armour All-American Game Jan. 2 at Tropicana Field.

Linebacker Osa Masina, from Salt Lake City Brighton High, returns for an official visit after visiting USC unofficially in the spring.

Masina has visited Arizona State and UCLA.

USC is a long shot for Jefferson (La.) cornerback Donte Jackson, but Jackson is taking an official visit.

Georgia and Louisiana State are regarded as the leaders in his recruitment.

Masina and Jackson will play in the Army All-American Game Jan. 3 in the Alamodome.

USC will also host Hawaii defensive end Mika Tofua, who has committed to BYU.

Tofua, of Honolulu Kamehameha Secondary School, has visited Oregon and is scheduled to visit Colorado.
