Former USC tight end Randall Telfer signed a rookie contract with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, the team announced.

Details of the contract were not disclosed.

“Dreams come to those who forgo sleep and chase greatness! Honored to officially be a Brown!” Telfer wrote on Instagram.

The Browns selected Telfer in the sixth round of last weekend’s NFL draft.

Telfer, 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, attended but did not participate in the NFL scouting combine in February and was sidelined for USC’s pro day because of a foot injury.

There are three veteran tight ends on the Browns’ roster: Gary Barnidge, Jim Dray and Rob Housler.

Telfer caught 65 passes, 12 for touchdowns, in four seasons at USC.
