Sierra Canyon, ranked No. 1 by The Times in boys’ basketball, will finally begin its season on Monday night at home against Chaminade in an 8 p.m. game of its own tournament.

The cameras should be out, because 6-foot-11 Marvin Bagley III will make his Sierra Canyon debut. He’s the junior center who transferred from Arizona last season but was denied eligibility. His brother, Marcus, a freshman, also will play for the Trailblazers.

Sierra Canyon returns standouts Cody Riley, Remy Martin and Adam Seiko.

Opening games:

At Sierra Canyon: Westlake vs. San Gabriel Academy, 5 p.m.; Alemany vs. Mission Prep, 6:30 p.m.; Sierra Canyon vs. Chaminade, 8 p.m.
