Special TV programs celebrate 100 years of Southern Section
Fox Sports West and Prime Ticket have put together 11 half-hour shows highlighting contributions and achievements during 100 years of Southern Section sports.
On Thursday at 8 p.m., it kicks off with a 90-minute program featuring special guests Pat Haden, Ann Meyers-Drysdale, Eric Wynalda, Joanna Hayes and John Naber, all of whom were prep standouts in Southern California.
Other programs that will focus on areas and sports:
Oct. 4: “100 Athletes for 100 Years: Football.”
Oct. 11: “Trojans.”
Oct. 18: “Long Beach.”
Oct. 25: “Inland Empire.”
Nov. 1: “South Bay.”
Nov. 8: “Santa Barbara.”
Nov. 15: “Female Icons.”
Nov. 22: “Basketball.”
Nov. 29: “Track and Field.”
Dec. 6: “On the Diamond.”
Dc. 13: “Beach.”
