The Hokies have a big game with Georgia Tech on Sunday, and they'll need senior point guard Malcolm Delaney to play well.
On Friday, the Baltimore native has made the cut as one of 30 players still remaining for the coveted James Naismith Award.
Delaney led the ACC in scoring last season. Currently this year, he's the second leading scorer in the conference. He's fourth all-time on the Hokies career scoring list. When Delaney plays well, usually the team does as well.
He's one of five ACC players on the 30 man list. The Naismith Trophy will be awarded at the Final Four in Houston in early April. It's a prestigious honor that has been presented by the Atlanta Tipoff Club since 1969.
