The Pacers are enduring their first losing streak of the season. Denver used a steady stream of fast break buckets to top Indiana 113 to 109. The Pacers led by 13 points in the 2nd quarter but the Nuggets went on a 10-0 run in the closing minutes of the first half to get back in the game.
Denver took a double digit lead in the second half. Ty Lawson's layup with 5:11 to play gave the Nuggets a 104-92 advantage, but Paul George hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 13-2 run to pull the Pacers within 106-105.
With under 30 seconds to play David West kicked it out to Darren Collison but his pass went wide and bounced into the backcourt.
"We wanted to try and get a post up, but I second guessed myself in terms of getting rid of the ball. I was a second or two too late and he had already moved. Again I just second guessed myself too late," said West.
The Pacers get to stay in Indianapolis for a few nights, their next game is Tuesday against the second best team in the East, the Miami Heat.
