Packing and peaking
Nina, Jake and Sam are moving to L.A. in one day, and Hannah walks in as Nina's packing. Nina begins rambling on about Andy and tells Hannah about the engagement ring he bought, but never gave to her. Hannah brings out Nina's overwhelming curiosity and the two of them head over to Andy's to sneak a peak at the ring. In Andy's room, just as Hannah's about to open the ring box, they hear Andy come home. Panicking, Hannah hides the ring in her shirt as she runs downstairs to distract Andy as Nina sneaks out unnoticed. Later, Hannah realizes she forgot to put the ring back and still has it in her shirt.

Ephram's new girlfriend
Ephram and Stephanie are beginning to spend more time together. Delia even invites Stephanie to her bat mitzvah. Stephanie tells Ephram that she just loves his family. The two of them are getting along very nicely.

The ring
Andy's extremely upset that Nina's leaving for L.A. the next day. He's lost hope that there's any chance of he and Nina getting together and tells Ephram he's taking the ring back. Later, he's shocked to find the ring missing. Although, not as shocked as Nina when Jake, after finding the ring in Hannah's room, shows it to Nina. He thinks the ring is for Hannah until Nina tells him the truth. Disturbed, Jake returns the ring to Andy, wanting an explanation as to why he bought it for Nina. Andy admits to Jake that he had hoped their relationship hadn't worked out, even going so far as to tell Jake that Andy loves Nina more than Jake ever could.

Baby Lily
Kathy, who has just become a new mom, is struggling in handling her new baby girl while also dealing with her illness of schizophrenia as well as coping with the recent death of her husband. She goes to Harold for help and he reminds her of how he promised her parents he'd always take care of her. The Abbotts are caught off guard when they find baby Lily at their doorstep. Kathy has run off, leaving the baby with them. Rose takes baby Lily under her wing, caring for her as if she's her own.

Feelings that won't go away
As Ephram gets closer with Stephanie, Amy finds herself feeling more uncomfortable with the situation. She begins incessantly talking to Hannah and thinking about her feelings for Ephram, not wanting to admit that she's still in love with him. To make matters worse, Ephram tells Amy that he's looking forward to her getting to know Stephanie at Delia's bat mitzvah.

Delia's bat mitzvah
As the Browns (along with Stephanie) are leaving for Delia's bat mitzvah, Nina, Jake and Sam are leaving for the airport on their way to L.A. Nina looks sad as she leaves her house. As Delia performs her ceremony, Nina and Jake make their way through the airport. As Delia lights her ceremonial candles, she speaks of her mother and lights the last unlit candle for her.

Who do you love?
As Jake and Nina wait for their flight to be announced, Jake asks Nina what she would have said had Andy actually proposed to her. Nina just wants to brush everything under the table and forget about it. Jake says he will as long as Nina answers one last question with complete honesty. Does she still love Andy? Nina is unable to say no. Jake sincerely explains to Nina that he needs somebody who will give him all of her heart…not just part of it. After saying their goodbyes and telling one another that they'll miss each other, Jake boards the plane to L.A. by himself.

Wine and dancing
At Delia's bat mitzvah party, Ephram goes off to dance with Stephanie, as do Bright and Hannah. Amy is left alone to drown her sorrows in a bottle of wine. Later, Ephram discovers a buzzed Amy telling Delia that she'll lend her all of her wisdom regarding womanhood, and brings her a glass of water to drink instead. Afterwards, they head out to the dance floor and melt into each other's arms. Later, feeling sick, Amy admits to Hannah that she's still in love with Ephram.

Back home
After Delia's party, Andy tells Delia how great she was at her bat mitzvah. Then he goes into the darkened kitchen where he finds Nina sitting alone. Nina tells Andy that she just couldn't go and although Sam is confused, she decided to return home. Since her house has already been sold, she and Sam will stay at Andy's.

Bright advice
The morning after Delia's bat mitzvah, Ephram's concerned about Amy and tells Bright they should call her. Realizing Ephram is still harboring feelings for Amy, Bright tells him he's got a great thing going with Stephanie and to forget about Amy.

Coming clean
Amy decides she has to tell Ephram how she really feels…but first, out of respect for Stephanie, decides to tell her first. When Amy tells her that she still has feelings for Ephram, Stephanie is understanding -- but only because she's pretty confident that Ephram has decided to move on and be with her instead of Amy.

Life and death
Edna tells Harold that she's decided to move to Africa to be with Linda, but he finds out that her actual plan is to take off in the RV all by herself. Edna tearfully admits to Harold that she's lost without Irv and has no reason to remain in Everwood. Meanwhile, Harold and Rose have obtained temporary guardianship over baby Lily and expect that they will be awarded full custody within 90 days.

Everwood or Notre Dame?
Hannah is impressed when Bright tells her his future plans and happy that he's getting his life together. She tells him that she's been offered a full scholarship to Notre Dame but that if she goes she won't be back to Everwood. After a few days of pondering over whether she should go to Notre Dame or stay and go to Colorado's A&M, Bright tells Hannah that even though he selfishly wants her to stay, he thinks it would be best for her to go to Notre Dame. He promises Hannah that he won't ever let her down the way that he did before, and they both promise that they'll be best friends for life. The next day Hannah mails in her enrollment form to Colorado's A&M.

Andy's trip
After giving Delia her dream birthday present – her own horse and riding lessons – Andy is off on a brief two-day trip, not telling anyone where he's going. He visits Julia's gravesite and talks to her. He tells her how much he's changed and apologizes that he wasn't the person he is now for her. He tells Julia that if Nina accepts his proposal of marriage he'll take that as Julia's blessing.

Edna's new life
Edna is touched when she finds that Harold and Rose have set up a bedroom for her in their house. Harold tells Edna he wants to make up for the time they didn't spend together while he was growing up. Also, Rose needs help caring for baby Lily. Edna happily accepts their offer.

On bended knee
Back from his trip, Andy takes Nina outside in front of her house where they first met. He expresses how grateful he is to have met her and that he believes it was fate that brought them together. Andy gets down on his knee and asks Nina if she'll marry him. Nina says yes, she will and the two embrace and kiss.

Amy & Ephram
After mulling over how she should tell Ephram about her feelings, Amy comes up with an idea she thinks will really get his attention. Ephram is running out of his apartment on his way to meet Stephanie when he finds Amy standing there in front of a big Ferris wheel. Amy professes her love to Ephram, reminding him of their first real conversation that took place on a Ferris wheel. Ephram tells Amy he remembers everything. Before she's finished talking, Ephram walks over and kisses her passionately. Amy looks at Ephram and tells him she loves him. Ephram looks Amy and with tears in his eyes tells her that it's always been her and it always will be…and that he loves her too.
