'Frankenweenie'

It was a good year for stop-motion animation, and in Tim Burton's world monsters ruled the day. For Burton it was clearly a labor of love -- both for the form itself and for the monster movie genre he mined. The story of a young boy's Frankenstein-esque resurrection of his dearly departed pet could not have been more charming. Disney Enterprises
