Recipe: Vieux Mot

The Vieux Mot at PDT is made of Plymouth gin, St-Germain, lemon juice and a little simple syrup.

Note: Adapted from a recipe by bar manager Don Lee of PDT. To make simple syrup, place equal amounts of water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat; heat until the sugar dissolves. Allow to cool before using. St-Germain elderflower liqueur is available at many fine wine and liquor retailers.

1 1/2 ounces Plymouth gin

1/2 ounce St-Germain elderflower liqueur

1/4 ounce (1 1/2 teaspoons) simple syrup

3/4 ounce (1 1/2 tablespoons) fresh lemon juice

Pour the gin, elderflower liqueur, simple syrup and lemon juice into a shaker filled with ice. Shake, then strain into a chilled coupe.

Each serving: 160 calories; 0 protein; 10 grams carbohydrates; 0 fiber; 0 fat; 0 cholesterol; 2 mg. sodium.
