Irrigation class:

Consultant Bob Galbreath discusses smart irrigation controllers in a workshop sponsored by the Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers and Native Plants. Beginning in 2010, only weather-based irrigation controllers, or WBIC, will be sold in California. Schindler House:

Dorit Margreiter’s solo exhibition features three film and video installation works, including “10104 Angelo View Drive (2004),” a silent, 16-millimeter film transferred to video. At its center is a modernist home by architect John Lautner that has been used in Hollywood films as a setting for evil. Opening reception 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
