Contradictions and Complexities: Contemporary Art From India. New Delhi-based art dealer Peter Nagy headlines a panel discussion in conjunction with a two-gallery show of six Indian artists he helped organize at d.e.n. contemporary and Western Project Gallery (ends Aug. 2). d.e.n. contemporary, 6023 Washington Blvd., Culver City. “The Cool School”. Morgan Neville’s documentary provides a worthwhile look at the Ferus Gallery (1957-1966), the first in L.A. to promote the postwar California avant-garde. Airing on KCET-TV. Thu., 9 p.m.

With gas prices heading into the stratosphere, the free Holly Trolley shuttle is an economical way to visit 20-plus art galleries at the monthly Miracle Mile Art Walk (look for balloons at the 170 N.
