LifeRide for amfAR rolls into San Diego

Riders revved their engines in Los Angeles on Monday as they kicked off the ninth annual LifeRide for amfAR charity motorcycle ride. The five-day event will have riders making their way down 310 miles of coastline landing the them in San Diego for a star-studded last stop.

Upon arrival in San Diego on Aug. 10, the eight-person ride including Gilles Marini (Sex and the City, Daredevil, Days of our Lives), Luke Wessman (TLC’s Miami Ink and NY Ink), photographer Travis Shinn, men’s syle influencer Blake Scott and Chris Salgardo, president of Kiehl’s and Kevin Frost, CEO of amfAR will makes stops at Kiehls’s store at both Fashion Valley (from 11 a.m. to noon) and Westfield UTC (1-2 p.m.).

At the Friday finale event, guests will be treated to complimentary bites and sips from the best of Liberty Public Market, on-site skin consultations and hand massages, opportunities to win gift cards and meet and greets with the celebrity riders.

The charity ride, which helps raise money to fund HIV/AIDS research, is a partnership with Kiehl’s that will make a $150,000 donation to The Foundation for AIDS research. The monies will fund a specific grant overseen by Dr. Gabriel Ozorowski, a scientist at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla.
