Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys announces Easy Eye Sound Revue Tour
Dan Auerbach, the guitarist, singer and primary songwriter in The Black Keys is hitting the road on his own in 2018 for his Easy Eye Sound Revue Tour.
The tour’s full title is: Dan Auerbach & the Easy Eye Sound Revue, featuring Robert Finley & Shannon Shaw, with special guests Shannon & the Clams. It opens Feb. 10 in Vancouver, concludes April 5 in Denver and includes a Feb. 19 San Diego show at Observatory North Park.
The tour will feature individual performances by Auerbach, Finley and Shannon Shaw, all of whom will be accompanied by the four-man Easy Eye Sound house band.
The Shaw-led Shannon & The Clams is the latest act to be signed to Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound record label. The band will release its new album, produced by Auerbach, in February and open each show on the tour.
Auerbach, who has won 8 Grammy Awards, this year released his acclaimed second solo album, “Waiting On A Song.” It teams the Nashville-based musician with a slew of other top artists, including John Prine, Duane Eddy, Jerry Douglas, Pat McLaughlin and Russ Pahl.
“Living in Nashville has definitely changed the way I think about music and the way that I record it,” Auerbach said in a statement. “I didn’t have all of these resources before. I am working with some of the greatest musicians that ever lived.”
Tickets for all Easy Eye Sound Revue concerts go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. local time in each city. A pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday through the Easy Eye website: easyeyesound.com.
