Celebrities expected to be at 2017 Comic-Con

Share

For one wild and crazy long weekend, San Diego turns into Tinsel Town. Here’s a list of celebs who are rumored to be making the trip to America’s Finest City for Comic-Con.

Sean Astin

From adventures to the Two Towers to fighting crime turtle style, actor Sean Astin - who voices Raphael in the cartoon Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - is expected to join other Nickelodeon cast members in exploring Season 5 stories on Friday, July 21.

David Duchovny

The truth is out there and it lies with David Duchovny. Unfortunately X-Files sidekick Gillian Anderson will not be on hand for panel discussion The X-Files: Cold Cases (an Audible original drama) on Saturday, July 22.

Gal Gadot

Easily the buzziest celebrity to be coming to this year’s Comic-Con, it’ll be like Where’s Waldo around the Con trying to spot the real Gal Gadot among a sea of cosplayers. According to the official Comic-Con schedule (which was updated on July 11), Gadot is expected to be at the Saturday, July 22 Warner Bros. panel in Hall H.

Ryan Gosling

Hey, girl. You can catch Ryan Gosling on Saturday, July 22 in Hall H for the Warner Bros. panel, where he’ll be discussing Blade Runner 2049, in which he stars.

Melissa Joan Hart

Everybody’s favorite teenage witch is taking a seat in the director’s chair for new Lifetime show The Watcher in the Woods (for which she’s also the executive producer).

Josh Hutcherson

The loveable, innocent Peeta from the Hunger Games series, Josh Hutcherson will play a different kind of action hero in the Hulu original comedy series Future Man. A sneak peek of the show will be on Saturday, July 22 in Room 6BCF.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan

Spoiler alert. Jeffrey Dean Morgan plays one of the nastiest SOBs to ever grace the TV screen in The Walking Dead. But, look past the mean man he’s become on AMC and remember back to when he was the lovable Denny Duquette, or, more recently, the hot bad boy alongside Julianna Margulies in CBS’s The Good Wife.

Andrew Lincoln

Sharp-shooting Rick Grimes, a.k.a. Andrew Lincoln, of AMC’s The Walking Dead will join a slew of his co-stars for a Friday, July 21 Hall H panel moderated by Talking Dead‘s Chris Hardwick. For those who only know Lincoln on the show, look forward to hearing his sexy British accent.

Tom Kenny

Maybe not the most recognizable celebrity name on the list, but as the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, Tom Kenny is a big deal among fans of the long-running Nickelodeon cartoon.

Kyle MacLachlan

When he first took on the role of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper on the influential series Twin Peaks, Kyle MacLachlan was just a baby-faced budding actor. Now, after roles in Sex and the City, Desperate Housewives and How I Met Your Mother, MacLachlan has reprised his role in the limited event series on Showtime. Keep an eye out for a special Agent Cooper Bobble Head on the Con floor from Entertainment earth.

Tyler Posey

You’re never too old for MTV, especially when it comes to the station’s big hit Teen Wolf. Catch cast member Tyler Posey during a big Hall H panel on Thursday, July 20. On Friday he’ll be on Convention Center Floor signing autographs, and for those who don’t have tickets to the Con, there’s always MTV Fandom Fest at Petco Park, where Posey is expected to make an appearance.

Noomi Rapace

This Swedish actor was a bad ass when she took on the role of Lisbeth Salander in the original Swede version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in 2009. Now she’s back in another action-thriller film exclusive to Netflix, where she stars alongside Will Smith.

Seth Rogen

Funny man Seth Rogen is the behind-the-scenes man as he takes on the title of director and executive producer of the new Hulu original comedy series Future Man. Join him and cast members for a sneak peek of the show and panel discussion on Saturday, July 22.

Peter Serafinowicz

Amazon Prime Video is banking on a new comic book TV show this fall called The Tick, which stars Peter Serafinowicz. He will be at various locations on Friday, July 21, including a panel in Room 6A.

Will Smith

The former Fresh Prince will find himself navigating among humans, orcs, elves and fairies who all coexist in an alternate present-day in the new Netflix original movie (and around Comic-Con, of course), Bright. Find Smith and other cast members in Hall H on Thursday, July 20.

Charlize Theron

The Atomic Blonde herself, Charlize Theron, will be part of an Entertainment Weekly Icon Edition fan-favorite panel of “Women Who Kick Ass” on Saturday, July 22.

Sophie Turner

The Stark family has had a rough go, but the fire-haired Sansa, played by Sophie Turner, continues to soldier on. She will join her brethren Game of Thrones cast members on Friday, July 21 in Hall H.

Naomi Watts

From the quaint northwestern town of Twin Peaks to America’s Finest City, Naomi Watts is expected to join fellow cast members during a Friday, July 21 panel and autograph signing.
