New food and shops coming to Fashion Valley

Share

Shopping centers in San Diego are evolving and have been incorporating upscale dining, interactive events and local shops to enhance the shopping experience. Following suit is the Fashion Valley Mall. Here are some new dining and shopping spaces to look forward to opening in summer, fall and winter of 2018.

Summer

Blanco Tacos + Tequila

Fox Restaurants Concept, the creators of Del Mar’s Flowerchild, will open a modern Mexican spot across from Fashion Valley’s AMC Theaters in Cafe Terrace, where California Pizza Kitchen used to be located. Nosh on savory tacos or bold cocktails in between shopping.

Pressed Juicery

The notoriously L.A. drink is making its way across the country, including the Fashion Valley Mall. Aside from juice, there are also frozen treats, cleanse bundles, waters and anything a health-nut would want. The juicery is set to open in September and will be located on the lower level River Plaza (the central entrance on the south side of the mall), just across from California Pizza Kitchen (which recently moved downstairs from its original location).

Charleys Philly Steaks

On the other side of the spectrum, Cafe Terrace will welcome Charleys Philly Steaks for the carnivorous shoppers. Think Subway but with an extra pack of flavor and comfort foods such as chili fries.

Valet

A second valet location will be in service near Bloomingdale’s. The valet is expected to open in early July.

Fall

NoRTH Italia

Handmade food is this Italian restaurant’s specialty. From the pizza, to the pastas and the bread, dishes are made fresh daily. Former Top Chef contestant and Executive Chef at Waypoint Public, Rich Sweeney, is taking the reigns and leading the kitchen at NoRTH Italia. The restaurant is looking at a late October opening, located at the Friars Road entrance, east of Bloomingdale’s.
