Share

Whether it’s Pops, the Old Man, or simply Dad, the men we call fathers deserve a day to kick back and enjoy themselves. Notoriously difficult to shop for, many dads aren’t interested in “things” as much as one-of-a-kind experiences.

No matter what type of personality you’re shopping for, PACIFIC has rounded up some of the best local treats (along with a few tangible presents for the gifty types) to make this Father’s Day one to remember:

The peace-loving dad

Offering om dads their choice of a free class, Yoga Six extends holiday namaste at each of Yoga Six’s five studios in San Diego County, Point Loma, Carlsbad, Carmel Valley, Solana Beach, and 4S Ranch/Rancho Bernardo. Fathers can choose from a variety of classes including vinyasa, hot and bootcamp.

The whiskey dad

Treat a spirited dad with one of these options:

Stake Chophouse & Bar will be greeting fathers with complimentary whiskey pours, to pair alongside their Wagyu Month special menu. Top picks include an Australian AACo purebred Wagyu ribeye and a Pastrami sandwich with Lone Mountain Ranch Wagyu.

Let dad take his whiskey picks at the Tableside Whiskey Wagon at Seasons Restaurant at Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara. Whether it’s bourbon, scotch or Irish whiskey, the wagon will be making rounds during the brunch and dinner hours, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5-9 p.m.

The traveler dad

Opt for a National Parks beanie ($19) or a Parks Trail Log with room for photos, notetaking, and mementos ($16).

The local, coastal dad

From 11 a.m. to close, a more casual day and sunset menu includes $5 beer specials, an assortment of charcuterie and range of burgers.
