Rep. Schiff takes oath for new term, revised congressional district

Share

As Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) begins his seventh term in Congress, he will continue to serve on the powerful House Appropriations Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.

“We have so much to accomplish over the next two years,” Schiff said in the statement. “It’s my hope that we can work together on both sides of the aisle to tackle some of our country’s most pressing challenges — restoring jobs and the economy, cutting our debt, finding common-sense solutions to gun violence and continuing to bolster our national security.

Congress must stop lurching from crisis to crisis and proactively address the challenges we face.”

Schiff represents the redrawn 28th Congressional District, which still covers Burbank and Glendale, but now also encompasses La Cañada, Los Feliz, Silver Lake and West Hollywood.
