Burbank police find nearly 50 Ecstasy, Adderall pills during traffic stop

Burbank police say they found nearly 50 Ecstasy and Adderall pills in a 21-year-old man’s car Sunday morning after pulling him over for allegedly speeding.

The man, Derek Palma, was stopped at 5 a.m. near Glenoaks Boulevard and Cedar Avenue, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

Police discovered an outstanding arrest warrant for Palma, who was reportedly driving with an expired driver license, Ryburn said.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers reported finding the pills in an unmarked bottle, Ryburn said.

Palma was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.
