Girl, 9, runs into traffic and is struck by passing car
A 9-year-old girl suffered a broken femur Monday night after she ran into traffic and was struck by a passing vehicle, police said.
The girl, whose name wasn’t released because she’s a minor, was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, where she was treated for the non-life-threatening bone fracture, Glendale Police Sgt. Tom Lorenz said.
She ran in between parked cars and into the traffic about 6 p.m. in the 1100 block of North Columbus Avenue, where the motorist struck her, he said.
The motorist remained at the scene while paramedics treated the girl, Lorenz added.
