A 25-year-old motorcyclist was arrested Saturday on suspicion of drunk driving after he crashed and was catapulted in to the air, police said.

The motorcyclist, Mathew Saylor, suffered bad scrapes and two fractures to his right arm during the early morning crash on Foothill Boulevard and Lauderdale Avenue, according to Glendale police reports. He was taken to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, where he was treated for his injuries.

The Tujunga resident allegedly told officers that he had smoked marijuana and drank alcohol the night before at a friend’s home in Sunland, according to police.

But he became angry when he saw his girlfriend with another man and left, police said.

He allegedly hit speeds of up to 100 mph before crashing.

Police said Saylor didn’t have a valid motorcycle license, and his regular license was expired.
