Michelle Obama to make ‘Tonight Show’ appearance

First Lady Michelle Obama continued her two-day fundraising swing through Los Angeles on Monday, heading to “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” a day after she chatted up campaign contributors at the home of rock star Gwen Stefani.

Stefani and her fellow members in the band No Doubt hosted Sunday’s event in Beverly Hills, where Obama warned the crowd it should expect “nail-biting moments” as her husband seeks reelection in November, according to remarks released by the White House.

On Monday, the first lady planned to talk to Leno about leading the U.S. Olympic delegation for the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London and also about Let’s Move, her initiative to address childhood obesity. She had a third fundraising event scheduled for Monday afternoon.
