Glendale Adventist Medical Center names new CEO

Glendale Adventist Medical Center today announced that it has hired a new chief executive who hails from Hawaii.

Kevin Roberts, 52, will assume the role of president and chief executive at Glendale Adventist Dec. 5, when his family has relocated to Glendale, the hospital said in an announcement.

He fills the void left by Morre Dean, who resigned in June to be chief executive at Parker Adventist Hospital in Parker, Colo., south of Denver.

Roberts is currently chief executive at Castle Medical Center on Oahu, Hawaii. Prior to that, he was the chief operating and nursing officer at South Coast Medical Center in Laguna Beach, according to the hospital.

In a statement, Robert G. Carmen, president and chief executive of Adventist Health and chairman of the board, praised Roberts’ service and track record.

“His distinct blend of clinical and administrative leadership, coupled with long-standing commitment to our mission, will serve [Glendale Adventist] and its community well,” Carmen said.
