Two serious crashes tie up Glendale intersections

Share

Emergency responders in Glendale were kept busy Monday morning with two major vehicle accidents, including one in which a small sedan rammed into the side of a building, injuring two people.

In that crash, the sedan went into the side of a building at the intersection of Central Avenue and Chevy Chase Drive, shattering the glass storefront. Firefighters had to cut off the passenger-side doors to gain access to the occupants.

Details on the cause of the crash, or the extent of injuries suffered by two people who were transported to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, were not immediately available.

A second crash occurred near Glendale Community College when a truck rolled over at Mountain Street and Verdugo Road, briefly catching fire and forcing the intersection to be temporarily closed. No injuries were immediately reported in that crash, according to police.
