Fatal collision ties up traffic on 134 Freeway in Toluca Lake

One person was killed and traffic was backed up for miles following an early Thursday morning collision on the 134 Freeway in Toluca Lake, officials said.

At least two vehicles were involved in the crash on the westbound side of the freeway at Cahuenga Boulevard, which was reported to the Los Angeles Fire Department around 4:30 a.m.

Two people suffered minor injuries in the crash, while a third was dead at the scene, officials told the L.A. Times.

More than two hours after the accident, only the carpool lane of the westbound 134 was open.
