Thousands of paintings, photos and sculptures were on display Saturday during the Downtown Burbank Arts Festival.

More than 90 artists also displayed fine glass pieces, ceramics, jewelry and woodwork.

The twice-a-year arts festival has attracted art lovers since 2003.

The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday between San Fernando and Magnolia boulevards.

Artists such as Arlou Somo, Ruth Villa and Susanne Ma will create works of art on large swaths of asphalt and concrete.

Their 10-by-10-foot images along with other artists are set for completion by Sunday afternoon.
