Doors to open at fire, police departments
Those who want a peek into Burbank police and fire operations can attend the police and fire open house on Saturday, officials said.
From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., children and families can visit the Burbank Police Department — located at 200 N. Third St. — to sit in the police helicopter and listen to presentations by the various police units.
Additionally, the California Highway Patrol will conduct child-safety-seat inspections, and the fire department will have a kids’ obstacle course and be available for photographs.
At the event, the Burbank Bike Angels will collect used bikes to refurbish and give away.
