Burbank police officers were unable to find a man who robbed the Citibank at 360 E. Magnolia Blvd. on Monday.

No weapon was seen, but according to police reports, he told the bank tellers he had a gun during the robbery, which occurred at 11:46 a.m.

The man told the teller that he was sorry he had to do this, but to just give him $100-bills and to not make a scene, said FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller.

The man exited out the door facing toward North Glenoaks Boulevard, Burbank police were unable to locate the man.

The man, described by FBI officials as Latino in his mid 30s and 5 feet 6 inches tall with black spiky hair and goatee, was wearing a black jacket and light blue jeans. It was unclear if the man used an escape vehicle.

The FBI declined to release the amount of money taken from the branch and it is unknown whether he is connected to other bank robberies in the area.
