Burbank police investigate vandalism of cars

Share

A series of car vandalism incidents were reported in Burbank late last week, some of which were similar in nature, police said.

Three car owners reported discovering slashed tires and key marks on their cars Thursday morning, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn.

In the 1000 block of East Santa Anita Avenue, the front and rear driver’s side tires on a Toyota Solara were reportedly slashed, and the side-view mirrors were broken off.

Nearby, in the 400 block of Sunset Canyon Drive, two BMWs had been keyed. And in the 1400 block of Catalina Street, the tires on a Dodge Challenger were slashed, and the side-view mirrors broken, Ryburn said.

Two days later, three cars — one in the 1100 block of Griffith Park Drive and two in 1600 block of Clark Avenue — were reportedly found covered with scribbles in black spray paint, Ryburn said.

Anyone with information about the vandalism incidents is urged to call Burbank police at (818) 238-3210.
