Sports Roundup: Burbank volleyball downs league heavyweights Claremont, Arcadia in consecutive days

BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL

Burbank 3, Arcadia 0: The host Bulldogs picked up a 25-18, 25-12, 25-16 Pacific League win Wednesday. Burbank (10-1, 3-0 in league) received 10 kills from Willie Perryman and nine from Joseph Servin. Peter Jang added 22 assists for the Bulldogs, who got 16 digs from Paul Shim and nine from Dylan Anderson.

On Tuesday, the visiting Bulldogs picked up a 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-27, 15-8 Pacific League road victory against Claremont. Servin paced Burbank with 12 kills and 11 digs. Jang contributed 22 assists for the Bulldogs, who got 11 digs from Justin Saisinkul, nine kills from Anderson and eight kills from Robert O’Brien.

BASEBALL

Burbank 4, Granada Hills 3: Cameron Briggs singled home Ryan Porras with the winning run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the host Bulldogs (3-6) to a victory in the Babe Herman Tournament on Wednesday.

BOYS’ GOLF

Burroughs 403, Golden Valley 417, Burbank 448: Sivakorn Losakul of Burroughs shot a six-over-par 77 to share medalist honors and propel the Indians in a nonleague tri-match win Wednesday at De Bell Golf Club. Louis D’Aquila had a 79 for the Indians. Jason Apinchapong fired a 79 to lead Burbank.

Saugus 203, Burbank 206: Burroughs’ Daniel Kesicbasian shared medalist honors with a one-over-par 37 on Tuesday in a nonleague match at De Bell Golf Club. Garrit Green carded a 41 for the Indians.
