Volunteer beach cleanup is Saturday

The California Coastal Commission has partnered with ECO-Warrior Foundation for the Laguna Beach City Adopt-A-Beach Program, according to a press release.

The foundation is the local contact within the city and directs volunteers to scheduled beach cleanups. The first scheduled volunteer beach cleanup will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at various locations in Laguna Beach in partnership with Montage Laguna Beach’s Hearts of Montage, the Boys & Girls Club of Laguna Beach, the Surf & Sand Resort and Waste Management.

The Montage Laguna Beach will have tables set up at the bottom of the ramp by the public parking on the sand, the release said. The Surf & Sand Resort will have tables set up on the Ocean Terrace. There will also be a table set up at the Oak Street overlook. ECO-Warrior Foundation will have some items for sale, with 100% of proceeds going toward future beach cleanups in town.
