SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Goalie Alexa Thomas made 10 saves for the Lightning in the Academy League game Friday.

Sage Hill Coach Catie Chase said her team played hard and turned in its best performance of the season.

Sage is 9-3-3, 3-2-1 in league.

SANTA ANA — Wesley Pena scored the game-winner in the 75th minute with an assist from Carlos Barrios for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League game at Centennial Park Friday.

Godinez scored in the 60th minute. Estancia (2-1-3 in league) responded in the 70th minute, when Uri Garcia scored. Erick Gonzalez assisted. Goalie Danny Guerrero had three saves.

IRVINE — Conor Roche and John O’Connor scored a goal each for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Chris Von der Ahe and Kris Picarelli had an assist each for CdM (7-6-2, 6-1-0 in league). Sea Kings’ goalie Armon Alaghband had four saves.
