The Orange County Breakers added Anna-lena Groenefeld, John-Patrick Smith and Travis Parrott to their World Team Tennis roster at the WTT Roster Draft on Tuesday.

The Breakers, who will be playing this July at the Bren Events Center on the UC Irvine campus, added the three players to complement former world No. 1 Lindsay Davenport, who is expected to play all seven home matches for Orange County.

Groenefeld, the Breakers’ first-round pick, is an 11-time doubles titlist from Germany. Groenefeld, 26, reached career-high rankings of No. 14 in singles and No. 7 in doubles in 2006. She won the mixed doubles championship at Wimbledon in 2009 with Mark Knowles and is currently ranked No. 46 in the world in doubles.

Smith, 23, is an Australian who played collegiately at the University of Tennessee. He was named the SEC male athlete of the year in 2011 and was a four-time All-American in both singles and doubles, joining former Breaker Rick Leach (USC, 1984-87) as the only players to accomplish that feat.

The Breakers’ third-round selection was Parrott, who played in WTT for the New York Sportimes last year. He was the 2009 U.S. Open mixed doubles champion with Carly Gullickson and is in his sixth year playing WTT. Parrott, 31 and from Portland, Ore., also has three career men’s doubles titles.

Trevor Kronemann returns for his sixth season coaching the Breakers, who will play 14 regular-season matches from July 9-28. Season tickets and mini-plans will be available online starting April 4 at https://www.breakerstennis.com, and pre-sale orders can be requested starting March 19 by emailing tickets@breakerstennis.com. Individual match tickets go on sale in May.
