COSTA MESA — Courtland Lee shot three-over-par 38 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match at Costa Mesa Country Club’s Mesa Linda course Thursday.

Senior James Nashar shot 45 for Costa Mesa (0-4 in league). Estancia is 6-4, 4-0 in league.

The teams meet again Monday at Mesa Linda.

Sage Hill 10, Whitney 2

CERRITOS — Parker Reposa went two for four with a home run, triple and three runs batted in for the Lightning in the Academy League game Thursday.

Conner Bock (two for five, three RBIs), Colby Bock (two for two, two runs) and Ryan Fishel (one for two, three runs) also contributed for Sage Hill (7-2, 4-1 in league), which had 11 hits.

Calvary Chapel 5, Estancia 4

COSTA MESA — Tyler Rios went three for four with two runs batted in and a run scored for Estancia in the Orange Coast League game at Vanguard University Thursday.

Ben Beck was one for four with two RBIs and a double for Estancia (7-4, 3-2 in league).

Pitcher Zach Webb worked out of runners on first and second in the top of the seventh to secure the win for Calvary Chapel.

Estancia pitcher Steven Macias (3-2) worked 5 2/3 innings, allowing five runs, two earned, and gave up eight hits. He struck out the and walked three.

Estancia plays host to Village Christian to open the Beach Pit Classic Saturday at 11 a.m.

CORONA DEL MAR — Brett Olson was two for four with a double and a run batted in for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League game Thursday.

Tyler Duncan (two for four, double), Nick Roco (two for two, two RBIs, double) and Tyler Malone (two for three, RBI) also contributed for CdM (4-7, 1-4 in league), which had eight hits.

The Sea Kings open play in the Beach Pit Classic Monday at 3:15 p.m. at home against Notre Dame Sherman Oaks.

Newport Harbor 14, Huntington Beach 4

NEWPORT BEACH — Reese Stalder swept at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, 6-0, for the Sailors in the Sunset League match Thursday.

Christian Lee swept at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-3, 6-2, while Michael Eder and David Schaefer swept at No. 3 doubles, 6-2, 6-0, 6-3, and Sean Perrier and Garrett Byers swept at No. 1 doubles , 6-1, 6-4, 6-0, for Newport Harbor (10-6, 3-1 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — Freshman Bjorn Hoffmann swept at No. 3 singles for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s Pacific Coast League match at home.

Carson Williams and Pedro Fernandez swept at No. 1 doubles for CdM (9-1, 3-1 in league).

Corona del Mar, ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division 1, plays host to Palm Desert on Tuesday. Palm Desert is ranked No. 2 in Division 2.

St. Margaret’s 12, Sage Hill 6

NEWPORT BEACH — The Lightning won all six of their sets in doubles in the Academy League match Thursday at The Tennis Club.

The Sage teams of Eric Magliarditi and Kenan Torlic, Ryan Lee and David Kim, as well as Sam Sherman and Shayan Emtiaz, each won twice. But rival St. Margaret’s swept in singles.

Sage Hill is now 0-10, 0-3 in league.

Corona del Mar 77, Northwood 50

CORONA DEL MAR — Nick McGuinness was a double winner for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League meet Thursday.

McGuinness won the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.5 seconds and the high jump (6 feet, 2 inches).

Barrett Barbato (11.2 in 100), Matt Hurst (51 in 400), Tanner Love (2 minutes, 2.4 seconds in 800), Greg May (4:33.4 in 1,600), Spencer Keith (10:03.9 in 3,200), Troy Hardy (40.2 in 300 hurdles), Michael Pierotti (42-9 in shot put) and Alex Imani (150-5 in discus) also won for CdM.

Sunset League tri-meet

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Newport Harbor High’s Marty Taylor won the shot put and discus events against Marina and Huntington Beach Thursday.

Taylor mark in the shot put was 59 feet, 4 inches and his mark in the discus was 181-8. He led a 1-2-3 Sailors’ finish in each event. Ramsey Hufford was second in the shot put (50-5) and third in the discus (141-3). Will Fortier finished second in the discus (145-3) and third in the shot put (49-7).

Marcell DeBarros won the 300-meter hurdles in 43.47 seconds for Newport Harbor.

The Sailors beat Huntington Beach, 68-50, and lost to Marina, 72-53.

GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD

Northwood 71, Corona del Mar 56

CORONA DEL MAR — Freshman Claire Schmidt won the 1,600 meters in 5 minutes, 17.7 seconds for the Sea Kings in the Pacific Coast League meet Thursday.

Elin Wolker (2:25.4 in 800), Emma Kratzberg (16.3 in 100 hurdles), Emily Glenn (47.8 in 300 hurdles) and Asha Hardy (5 feet in high jump) also won for CdM.

Sunset League tri-meet

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Natalie Ward was a double winner for Newport Harbor against Marina and Huntington Beach Thursday.

Ward won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.41 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 46.79.

Erin Barth won the 3,200 in 11 minutes, 57.37 seconds and Peri Howser won the pole vault (10 feet, 6 inches) for the Sailors.

Newport Harbor beat Huntington Beach, 70-62, and lost to Marina, 73-62.

Godinez def. Estancia

SANTA ANA — Jacob Sperling had six kills for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.

Godinez won, 25-18, 25-15, 25-20.

Estancia is 0-9, 0-3 in league.
