Community Run

The fifth annual Costa Mesa Community Fun Run kicks off in 10-kilometer, 5K and 2K categories to benefit the community and the foundations supporting TeWinkle and Costa Mesa middle schools, as well as Estancia and Costa Mesa high schools. Packet pickup and late registration will start at 6:30 a.m.; The 5K and 10K races will start at 8 a.m., followed by the start of the 2K race at 9 a.m. The event is at Fairview Park and Estancia High School. Multicultural Fair

Sage Hill School, 20402 Newport Coast Drive, Newport Beach, will stage its Multicultural Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $7 for adults. Children ages 5 and under get in for free. Food tickets are $1 each. For more information, go to https://www.mcf.sagehillshool.org.

Wine Tasting and Book

Signing

Thompkin Cellars, 1954 Placentia Ave., No. 107, Costa Mesa, will host a wine tasting and “Plastic Ocean” book signing. The event will raise funds to benefit the Algalita Marine Research Institute. Its founder, Capt. Charles Moore, will be on hand to sign copies of his book, “Plastic Ocean.” The event is from 3 to 5 p.m. and RSVPs are required by sending an email to eve@algalita.org. There is a $20 fee to attend.
