Food, art and exhibits Friday night at Canvas Costa Mesa event

The inaugural Canvas Costa Mesa event, a one-night program of festivities that spotlight the local arts, will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday in the SoBeCa District.

Merchants, eateries and galleries in the roughly triangular area bordered by Bristol and Baker streets and Randolph Avenue will offer food, art activities, exhibits and more. Barley Forge Brewing Co., a new microbrewery, will also host a grand opening.
