‘Peter and the Wolf’

The Philharmonic Society of Orange County will present a performance of Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf,” with Tony Award-winning actor Jason Alexander as narrator. Snow Day at The Market Place

Families are invited to bring children to enjoy a day of snow and activities such as snowboarding and crafts from noon to 5 p.m. at The Market Place in the Edwards Theater Courtyard, 13782 Jamboree Road, Irvine. In attendance will be the Anaheim Ducks’ mascot Wild Wing, the Power Players and Street Team. A Ducks-inspired backdrop will offer families to take pictures. Festival Ballet Theatre will present its production of “The Nutcracker” at Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242 Campus Drive. Performances are at 2 and 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 2 p.m. Wednesdays, 11 a.m. Thursdays, 7 p.m. Fridays, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturdays and 1 and 6 p.m. Sundays. Tickets are $40 to $45.
