UC Irvine police are looking for a man who tried to inappropriately touch a female student and asked if he could massage other women’s feet.

The man approached female students near the student center on July 15, offered the foot massages and asked if he could take pictures, campus police said.

After snapping some photos, the man left, they said.

Four days earlier, the same man was in the Langston Library and asked in Japanese if a female student would help him with an English test, according to a news release from UCI police.

The two then went to a room in the Ayala Science Library.

“When they arrived at the study room, the subject attempted to contact the female inappropriately,” police said. “Feeling uncomfortable, she left the area.”

Police are asking that anyone with information about the man or similar incidents call detectives at (949) 824-3398.

He is described as Asian and about 22 years old, 5 feet 9 and 155 pounds. He had dyed brown hair and brown eyes, police said.
