More than 100 babies, toddlers and other children participated in events such as a bean bag shot put competition and a 3.6-meter “diaper dash” at MOMS Orange County’s second annual Baby Olympics & Fair on Sept. 13 at the Irvine Spectrum Center’s Giant Wheel Court.

The festivities also included a 6.6-meter “waddle dash” and hoop, dance, costume and daddy diaper-changing contests.

MOMS Orange County, a nonprofit organization that serves low-income pregnant women, offers programs emphasizing babies’ growth development and prevention of childhood obesity. September is National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month.
