Women’s Water Polo: UCI trio honored

Three UC Irvine women’s water polo players received honorable mention in All-American voting by the Assn of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches.

Senior Kelsey Klatt, junior Hannah Croghan and sophomore Jillian Yocum were recognized after leading UCI to a 21-9 campaign in 2013.

Klatt, the younger sister of UCI Coach Dan Klatt, had 35 goals to finish with 104 in her career.

Croghan led the ‘Eaters with 42 goals and 49 steals.

Yocum amassed 269 saves and posted a 5.78 goals-against average. She helped UCI record a program-low 178 goals against and post the program’s first shutout.
