A local cupcake shop owner will return to compete on Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars” on Sunday.

Annette Starbuck, who owns Goodie Girls cupcake store in Glendale, won in the third season, which featured a Kentucky Derby theme.

Starbuck now goes head-to-head with three other winners in “Cupcake Wars Champions,” which is scheduled to air at 8 p.m.

The winner of the episode will get the chance to compete for $50,000 in the finale, and to serve their cupcakes at a party celebrating Disney and Pixar’s new animated movie, “Brave.”

Starbuck filmed the episode earlier this year and said she was excited to return to the Food Network’s cupcake kitchen.

“It’s still nerve-wracking,” she said. “It doesn’t get easier. You would think it would, but it doesn’t.”
