I was recently made aware of an article printed in the Sunday News-Press & Leader (“Krikorian shrugs off cash woes,” July 1) which led readers to believe that the California Congress of Republicans' endorsement for Greg Krikorian in the 43rd Assembly District would not have been made if we had been made aware of his wife's personal financial issues in the past. I never stated such.
I want to make it clear to all, the motion to endorse Greg Krikorian for Assembly was duly seconded, and after some discussion, the vote was unanimous. Nothing has changed our endorsement.
We commend Greg Krikorian on his financial stewardship and leadership for the past 12 years on the Glendale Unified school board and are convinced that he will apply this same stewardship and leadership as an assemblyman in Sacramento.
We encourage all citizens in the 43rd Assembly District to support and vote for Greg Krikorian on Nov. 6.
Krikorian is listed on the California Congress of Republicans website at www.ccrgop.org with the other endorsements.
We thank Greg Krikorian for his continued support of our state, country and Republican principles.
