Alfonso Alfee Enciso Jr.
Alfonso (Alfee) Enciso, Jr. beloved educator, administrator, coach, father, brother, son and husband passed away on May 31st, after a heart attack he suffered on May 11th. His unexpected death leaves all who knew him with overwhelming sadness, knowing that we will be without his passion, humor, and infectious enthusiasm for education and life. The freedom he found in his own education compelled him to challenge students, teachers, administrators to think critically, work hard and believe so they “would not be denied” their goals and dreams in life. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and earned his Masters in Administration Summa Cum Laude at Cal State Northridge. In addition, he was a National Board Certified teacher in English Language Arts, Secondary. For 28 years he was a pioneer in education and was working as an administrator at John Muir Middle School when he died. He is survived by his wife Gjenaii, children Nkosei and Kai, his mother Micky Enciso, 10 brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews who looked up to their “Big Uncle Al”. A memorial in his honor will be held on July 6th @ 11:00 am at St. Bernadette’s church, 3825 Don Felipe Drive Los Angeles, California.
